Brighton & Hove Carers Centre

Our work: We are a charity providing services to adult carers of both children and adults with a learning disability.
Our services:
- Assessment workers - we have strong links with the Community Learning Disability Team and we have a Family Assessment Worker based in our team who carries out carers assessments and reviews.
- The opportunity to talk - we run monthly coffee mornings in local areas, free legal surgeries and referrals for counselling, courses and carer's breaks.
- Carers link project - a joint project with Amaze that recruits, trains and supports carer representatives to participate in the Learning Disabilities Partnership Board meetings and provide feedback to peers.
